Great tasting food is the highest priority at Ale’n’Angus and your best bet is one of the Bixby picks (Bixby is the name of the bull on the sign!). When at Ale’n’Angus you have to try the Ale ‘n’ Angus Burger which is a large, juicy, angus burger topped with fresh lettuce and tomato. Served on a grilled Kaiser roll served with a choice of fries, homemade potato chips, cup of fruit, coleslaw or apple sauce. The Ale’n’Angus burger is famous and their slogan is “We have the best darn angus burger in town!” and they aren’t lying, it’s delicious! The Bixby’s Prime-Rib Cheese Steak, a slow cooked prime rib, thinly sliced, topped with sautéed onions and American cheese served on grilled French bread and a choice of fries, homemade potato chips, cup of fruit, coleslaw or apple sauce, is another dish you won’t want to miss! You may also want to try their scrumptious Fish & Chips which is Beer Battered Icelandic Haddock fried to perfection and served with French fries and a dinner salad. The signature entrée at Ale’n’Angus is The Pubster which is 8oz Angus Reserve Center cut Sirloin cooked to order. Sliced and fanned around a bed of homemade mashed potatoes and topped with brown gravy and served with a dinner salad. When you are at Ale’n’Angus make sure you ask if the chef has prepared any of his award winning seafood bisque that won “Best Appetizer” at Winterfest. Order a cup or a bowl and bring a court home, but get it fast because it doesn’t last because it is so, so good!
